Yasuaki has been responsible for the strategy as lead Portfolio Manager since March 2008 and also sits on the Investment Committee. Yasuaki has over 30 years' investment experience.
Prior to Redwheel, he worked at NAM, and before this, he was a Fund Manager for Nippon Life's General Account and was seconded to Lehman Brothers International, after a stint in Foreign Exchange Management for Nippon Life in 1992.
Yasuaki holds a B.A. in Economics from Osaka University and a M.Sc. in Financial Management from the University of London. Additionally, Yasuaki has a D.B.A from Aoyama Gakuin University. His thesis was on stewardship engagement between investors and corporate managers based on corporate governance theories and models.
He is a Japanese citizen and native speaker and fluent in English.
